Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase on the Irish Wellness platform.

Personal Information We Collect

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, your IP address, your time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to our website, and information about how you interact with the website. We refer to this automatically collected information as "Device Information."

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • Cookies: Data files placed on your device or computer that often include a unique anonymous identifier. For more information on cookies and how to disable them, please visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
  • Log Files: Track actions occurring on the website and collect data such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.
  • Web Beacons, Tags, and Pixels: Electronic files used to record information about how you browse the website.

When You Make a Purchase

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the website, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment details, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as "Order Information."

When we refer to "Personal Information" in this privacy policy, we mean both Device Information and Order Information.

How We Use Your Personal Information

We generally use the Order Information we collect to fulfil any orders placed through the website (including processing your payment details, arranging for shipping, and providing invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you;
  • Screen orders for potential risk or fraud; and
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising related to our products or services.

We use the Device Information we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address) and more generally to improve and optimize the website (for example, by generating analytics on how our customers browse and interact with the website, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information as described above. For example, we use Shopify to power our e-commerce platform — you can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy. Additionally, we may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to protect our rights in other ways.

Behavioural Advertising

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may interest you. Where required by law, we will only do so with your consent. For more information on how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative's educational page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.

Additionally, we note that we process your data to fulfil contracts we have with you (for example, if you make an order through the website), or to pursue our legitimate business interests outlined above, or on the basis of your consent where required. Where your information is transferred outside of Ireland and the EEA, including to Canada and the United States, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Data Retention

When you place an order through the website, we will retain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it, subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain certain records (for example, for tax and accounting purposes).
